Level 3: M.T.I.A. Instructor

Certification

The #1 key to success in your training system, is to know exactly what you are teaching. Planned out on a weekly basis.

Giving your students the feeling of having much to learn, will open up a future for them and help them to establish their goals.

getting started, the most comfortable way to get people started is with
a good warm up system. A warm up system that will help your movements and rhythm flow. conditioning your muscles at the same time. It will also help you to relate and understand the further Muay Thai techniques you are going to be learning.

First learn “The 11 Dragon Punches” The 11 dragon punch system will help you easily line up your punches and boxing ability, knowing which punch to use and what target to aim for. Excellent for beginners to learn shadow boxing.

Second, is “The 4 Elbows” The 4 elbows will give your students power and strength. Giving them the confidence they need for self defense in any situation in or out of the ring.

Third is “The 3 Knee’s” The 3 knee’s are so powerful they could knock down an Elephant. Very easy and most efficient to learn.

The 4th is “The Roundhouse Kick” Like a Crocodile whipping it‘s tail, the Thai style roundhouse kick can slam anyone down to the ground.

The 5th is “The Front Kick” The Thai front kick can be so powerful, it can bust through the opponent’s belly.

It is guaranteed when your student’s learn the basic weapons and techniques of Muay Thai, their self confidence will be so high,  they will be hungry to learn more from you.

How do you put all the techniques together?

The key to putting all the techniques together including Boxing, elbows, knees, round house and front kicks is in the footwork.

1) Footwork (9 styles of footwork to choose from)

2) How to partner up, well matched together.

3)Using a specific routines to practice over and over again.

4) Exchanging techniques with your partner (Before students exchange techniques, they must learn how to avoid taking punishment by angling the body as the attack comes in from either side. This is the safest way for students to know how to train together effectively.

My training under Master Toddy has been one of the most memorable moments in my life. I learned functional tools to achieve personal and business growth with Muay Thai.
I was given the opportunity to experience the important traditions of Muay Thai as well as receive the defined elements to teach this art. Master Toddy continues to mentor me during my endeavors. My respect for him is great and I hope I will build a school that will provide its students with the same fulfillment as Master Toddy has provided to me."

"Master Toddy's teaching methods saved my school! I doubled our enrollment and still produced seven USA National Amateur Champions in the last 1 1/2 years since we changed our class system. I had struggled, too, with my Muay Thai kickboxing that wasn't growing and making ends meet. The students are now very happy and goal-oriented. Our student retention is excellent!"

I wanted to thank you for the great experience that you shared with me at your MuayThaiCenter (Kru Certification). I was extremely satisfied with the intense training and instruction that was shared. I learned more than I ever thought was possible in the week that was spent with you and your team. The relaxed atmosphere that was created during the instruction made it much easier for us to absorb the techniques. Your depth of skill and knowledge is immense and is only surpassed by your teaching ability.

I will not hesitate to recommend to anyone that may have the opportunity to study with Master Toddy and his team or to attend one of his seminars. You will not be disappointed!

I look forward to many training sessions to come.

"I came from New York City with four of my teammates to spend a week with Master Toddy and take his instructor course. The five of us that went were very different people, all with different experience, strengths and weaknesses, and goals. Master Toddy was able to give each and every one of us what we needed individually as fighters, while simultaneously teaching us what we needed to know about training clients, leading classes, and running our own gym."

"Last year, I studied and trained with Master Toddy for the International Muay Thai Association Instructor ("Kru") Certification. It remains one of the best experiences I have ever had. I have fought all over the world, trained and competed in Thailand, seen fighters and camps from every continent. And none of it taught me as much as I learned from Master Toddy."

"I took the instructor course in 1996. I went to Master Toddy because of his reputation of taking fighters very far, his experience, and his ability to teach. Master Toddy is the best instructor and I have trained with many, he has a way of pushing you further than your abilities. I took the 2 week course but moved back to live with Mater Toddy for over a year. I have won many titles but there is no feeling better then teaching someone to do the same. My goal as a teacher is to have many champions all going further then I have, that would be more rewarding to me. Master Toddy has a gift on teaching you how to teach. All fighters that have made to the world champion level obviously can do but this does not mean they can teach. Master Toddy lays a foundation of your teaching. He never says do it my way but teaches you the basis of Muay Thai so they you can grow as a teacher and create your own way. Master Toddy also creates an environment that is very useful in the learning steps, he has a state of the art facility with every thing you can need to do and teach Muay Thai. Master Toddy is my Ajarn but is also my mentor I can only hope I can do for the next generation of fighters as he has done for my generation of fighters.

Thank you Master Toddy

" I had just recently opened a new school in my hometown area outside of Philadelphia. As any business owner can relate, times are tough at first and in my case, money was an object! I was apprehensive to attend the seminar due to my tight financial situation and recent grand opening. It was the best move I could have possibly done! After just one week of returning home, I was making more money. Three weeks later, I doubled my student base. It was the techniques, insight, and knowledge that Master Toddy teaches, that will make you successful. Master Toddy has learned from over 30 years experience, what works and what doesn't. Over the coarse of one week, Master Toddy shares all of his secrets which made him so successful today, and helps you prevent the mistakes that so many gym owners make. I was one of those owners until I attended the Kru seminar. Finally, I would like to say to anyone who is skeptical about attending the coarse, "just do it!" You will become a better instructor, a better business man, retain more students, gain more students, and your small investment will become a large payback over and over again. Thank you so much Master Toddy!"

"Master Toddy -- and the other masters who work with him -- truly want to pass on the art of Muay Thai. He holds nothing back, and is uniquely gifted at seeing and explaining the proper way to execute and teach the skills and techniques of Thai boxing. It made me a different and better fighter and instructor, and in turn all of my students better as well."

"Master Toddy is able to simplify even the most advanced fighting and training concepts for Westerner's consumption. He imparts all his immense fight and fitness knowledge and wisdom on terms that are very friendly to Western culture.
